What and Why

The new Constitution has initiated changes to the shape and membership of Cabinet, which is the body responsible for directing Government policy. To facilitate the development of democracy, elected politicians now assume more responsibility for decision-making, in particular the Premier. Below are some other key developments that affect how the executive and Cabinet function under the Constitution.
